If your dog is currently using any type of training equipment: Flat collar, Harness, Martingale collar, Slip chain (choke chain). Electronic (shock) collar, Slip lead, or any other equipment that is not mentioned… ONLY use this equipment when you are able to supervise your dog, and NEVER leave your dog unattended while wearing any equipment. EVER.

1. If you must place your dog into a crate, kennel, or another room… remove all leashes, collars, etc… Even if it is only for a few moments.

2. Before you go to sleep at night, be sure to remove all leashes, collars, etc…

3. If you have to leave your dog in the care of others, advise the person(s) to take off all training equipment before bed, or when the dog is not being supervised.  If the person(s) watching your dog does not properly know how to use the equipment you have chosen for your dog… make sure the person(s) only use whatever equipment they know how to use properly, to avoid misuse and potential harm to your dog.

This is solely for the safety of your dog.  Your dog’s safety and well being is my priority.  As a professional, it is my duty and responsibility to help educate all of my clients on equipment safety, and the possibilities of harm done from any dog training equipment if misused, or if neglected.

Steve the Dogman LLC shall not be held liable for anything harmful that may happen to your dog after our training lesson has ended, or in between training lessons.
